1) Checking the Phone’s “About” menu:

You can check the device details by going to the ABOUT menu of your device. You can go that page by navigating to > Settings > scroll downwards> About Phone (you’ll get this option at the bottom). Tap there, and you will see the details – phone status, legal information, The model number of your device, the android version, Baseband version, Kernal Version, Build number, custom build number etc.

And there you’ll also get the software update option where you can upgrade your old android version to the latest one. And that’s free of cost. But that needs internet connection. A 3G internet connection to upgrade the android version is recommended.

The second method goes via physically inspecting. The model number of your device might be written on the back side of the phone in the cover. It’s usually very small. You need to see it by a magnifying glass, if cannot be seen through naked eye. And if there it is not written then you need to take out the battery cover to know  what kind of phone is this.

So take out the battery of your device. You will now get to see the IMEI number, device number and some more depending upon the cost of the phone. And I want to tell you that some of the android phone’s battery is un-removable. So, don’t try hard to remove them. it might cause a damage on the device. I won’t be responsible if any damage is being caused.

Moreover, If I am not wrong you can find some of the details like IMEI number, device number in the pack of the device. You can view it there if you still have it with you.

That’s all. Hope this post was helpful. Kindly drop your opinions below in the comments.
