Hi there!
In today’s guide you’ll know how to solve the “Unable To Connect To Proxy Server” problem that is existing in the web browsers much frequently.
This generally happens with the two popular web browsers: Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. And the reason for this is might be your PC is infected with an AdWare or potentially unwanted program.
What Is A Proxy Server?
It’s acts as an intermediate between your home network and a website or online service to which you are attempting to connect.
“A proxy server, also known as a “proxy” or “application-level gateway”, is a computer that acts as a gateway between a local network (e.g., all the computers at one company or in one building) and a larger-scale network such as the Internet. Proxy servers provide increased performance and security” – https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahoo
The basic privilege of Proxy servers is the relative anonymity they afford to Internet users. Not only that! There are several advantages. I listed three of them below:
- Acting as a caching server to make the internet speed more faster.
- Hiding/masking your genuine IP address.
- It knows what browser you’re using and what plugins you have installed.
- Access to any particular webpage can be prevented.
Why Does This Error Occurs?
It’s basically due to the malicious programs that affects the computer or it can be due to some malicious extension. Well, there are certain ways by which you can prevent this up. But I am not going to write about the prevention of this. I’ll directly jump to the way by which it could be solved!
